JHCN & ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION OF MICHIGAN New partnership announced ALZHEIMER'S' CIA Someone to Stand by Yoe Helping dementia patients at end-of-life he staff of JHCN recently met with members of the Alzheimer's Association to estab- lish an alliance which will provide optimum care for Jewish patients with end-stage Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Approximately 33 percent of our current patients have some form of dementia. In light of a growing elderly population, the incidence of Alzheimer's disease and dementia is expected to steadily increase, and JHCN is making every effort to prepare for that eventuality. In addition to finding new ways to meet the needs of Jewish patients with dementia, this partnership will provide in-service education for its staff and joint programming to the gen- eral public to increase awareness about all forms of dementia and how to obtain help.
