The group toured the building with docent Pearlena Bodzin, had lunch and then heard survivor Martin Lowenberg speak about his Holocaust experiences. College Loan Meeting JVS will host a parent information meeting on the Sarah and Harold Gottlieb Jewish Educational Loan Service (JELS) and additional financial aid options for college students. The meeting will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday,. April 21, at JVS, 29699 Southfield Road, Southfield. JELS Coordinator Dr. Marvin Berman will discuss how to apply for a JELS interest-free loan and financial assistance through state, federal, institutional and private sources. Although the meeting will be directed toward parents, students are welcome. The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit Young Adult Division is recruiting participants. Local chairs for the mission are Staci Bloch and Michael Stein. Jordan Glass is recruiting chair. The mission is recreational, but will offer history, culture and education events. The price of the mission is $999 plus a minimum gift of $500 to Federation's 2005 Annual Campaign.
