married at Congregation Shir
Tikvah in Troy. Rabbi Arnie
Sleutelberg officiated. Elizabeth is
the daughter of Robert and Susan
Paletz of Farmington Hills. Matthew
is the son of Edward and Rosemary
Welch of East Lansing.
Before the ceremony, the couple
signed their ketubah, which was cus-
tom designed and painted in water-
color by the bride. The couple also
designed and created their own
chuppah and were escorted to it by
their respective parents.
The couple were thrilled to
involve friends and family in the
wedding party, including longtime
friends Aram Stump as best man
and Elizabeth White as maid of
honor. The groom's nephews Griffin
