He was the founder and owner of the Donald Morris Gallery Inc., with the first location on Greenfield in Oak Park and from 1959-1975 located on Livernois in Detroit. In 1975, he moved to Birmingham on Townsend, where he operated for 20 years until the gallery closed in 1958. He also had an office in New York. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Florence Morris; sons and daughter- in-law, Steven Morris and Rachelle Dwaihy of Beverly Hills, Mark Morris of Birmingham; sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and John Dyer of Ohio.
