In the village of Entshongweni, far from western civiliza-
tion, young James is chosen to undertake a pilgrimage
to holy Jerusalem. But Israel is not exactly the Holy Land
that James and his people imagined and James is
jailed and destined for deportation,

Then a stranger posts bail for him, but his savior turns out
to be someone who rescues illegal migrant workers in
exchange for employing them at jobs Israelis won't do,
turning James' journey into a ride through the heart of
Israeli capitalism. This film is funny and touching, but with
a heart of steel.
