A pointed, magical, pixyish morality
tale that's funny. L'chaim!

A frustrated businessman, Jeffery Goldman
(John Pankow, Mad About You) tries to end
his hopeless marriage by asking the local
rabbi (Eli Wallach) to place a curse on his
wife, Ellen (Rebecca Pidgeon, Heist). The
rabbi refuses, but he gives peculiar advice
on how to do away with her, setting off a
series of unexpected events. This delight
tells us something unique about Jewish wis-
dom. A great opener.

In the context of an enduring spirit, fame
seems somehow beside the point.

Co-Sponsored by

This 27-minute surprise spotlights actor,
comedian and impersonator Sid Raymond
and challenges popular notions about
celebrity and success. Inspiring for anyone
who has clung to a passion, Sid concedes
that as an actor he was never a star. In the
context of his enduring spirit, though, fame
seems beside the point. A beautiful, human
story. And Sid is a riot!
