MATHEW BOROVOY, 73, of West Bloomfield, died March 3, 2004. He obtained his podiatric medical degree in 1955 and served in the Med- ical Corps in the Korean War. Dr. Borovoy obtained his surgical training while in the military and then practiced for 48 years, 18 of those with son Marc. In addition to his Borovoy practice, Dr. Borovoy was responsible for teaching podiatric residents, as residency director of Straith Hospital. He also served as president of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association and was on staff at Sinai Hospital and Providence Hospital. He was a lifelong member of Congregation B'nai Moshe and a strong supporter of Israel Bonds, the Jewish Theological Seminaty, Bar- Ilan University and the Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit. RABBI ARON GROSSBARD, 93, former Detroiter of Jerusalem, Israel, died Feb. 23, 2004. He was a resident of Detroit for 55 years before making aliyah at the age of 90. A follower of the Gur Chassidic dynasty, Rabbi Grossbard received his smicha (rabbinical ordination) in Warsaw, Poland, in 1932. He immigrat- ed to Israel with his wife, Esther Faiga, after they were married in Poland in 1934. For four years the Grossbards worked to build the land of Israel;
