development for the Oakland
University College of Arts and Sciences,
says the gala is somewhat of a fundrais-
er but is really to gain support for exhi-
bitions. There are fees for setting up
each show and sponsoring exhibits with
other arts organizations.
"We're looking for support from
people of all ages," she says.
Stacey Cohen, of West Bloomfield,
associate director of the David Klein
Gallery and an interior designer, is
planning the decor for the gala.
"The room will look like a bistro with
long, standing tables," Cohen says.
"We'll have spring green for our main
color. That's fresh but unobtrusive so
guests can concentrate on the art." ❑
