of Susie and Mitch
Tokowitz, will cele-
brate her bat mitz-
vah Saturday,
March 13, at
Temple Israel. She
is the sister of
Ryan. Her proud
grandmother is
Dolly Weinstein.
She is also the grandchild of the late
Hy Weinstein ands the late Ruthe and
Sam Tokowitz.
Samantha attends Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
For her mitzvah projects, she volun-
teered at the Meer Apartments in
West Bloomfield, helping seniors with
special events, and at the Jewish
Community Center Child
Development Center, assisting with
small children.
Marni Rae Weinstein, daughter of
Debi and Lee
Weinstein, will cel-
ebrate her bat mitz-
vah Friday, March
12, at Temple Shir
Shalom. She is the
sister of Elana and
Lila and grand-
daughter of Myrna
and Henry "Tony"
Horne and Barbara
and Seymore Weinstein. She is the
great-granddaughter of Helen
Bluestone.
Marni is an honor student at
Walled Lake Middle School. Among
her mitzvah projects, she collected
donated personal-care products to -
send to troops in Iraq. In addition,
Marni collected used eyeglasses, which
were donated to the Gift of Sight pro-
gram to provide prescription glasses to
people in developing countries.
