dents each in the orchestra and the choir.
Yaacov Bloch, interim director for
religious school and youth, will direct
the youth in leading the March 19 serv-
ice, to be followed by a Shabbat dinner.
"I love music and not only does it
provide our young people with an
,opportunity to further experience the
love of Jewish music, but their participa-
tion also adds a new dimension for
prayer for the Beth Shalom communi-
ty," Glen said.

Talmud Taught
At Beth Shalom

Eilu v'Eilu, the lifelong Jewish learning
project of the Michigan region of the
Rabbinical Assembly, will present
"Learning Talmud" with Rabbi Baruch
Lazewnik at Congregation Beth Shalom
10:30-11:30 a.m. March 14, 21, 28,
April 18, 25, May 2.
Sessions will focus on tefilah (prayer).
Readings from contemporary and classi-
cal scholars will be introduced.
Each class will be presented as an
independent unit. Students may attend
as many sessions as they wish. A basic
ability to read Hebrew is required for
the course, although English transla-
tions will be supplied.
