Show 'Em Your Costume T hroughout the world, Jewish kids of all ages took the fun- filled opportunity this Purim to dress up as everything from superheroes and witches to fire- fighters and soldiers. A few even stuck to the queen, king and Haman characters of Megillat Esther, read on the holiday. At the Sara Tugman Bais Chabad Torah Center, the theme of the post- megillah-reading masquerade extrava- ganza was Israel. Participants tasted Israeli foods and participated in Israel- themed crafts surrounded by artistically created sites and sounds of Israel. At the Jewish Community Center's Sarah and Irving Pitt Child Development Center Purim Carnival in West Bloomfield, costumed guests enjoyed Purim-themed games and snacks and a reenactment of the Purim story, performed by child-development staff; parents and children, along with Cassie, the pink dragon, visiting from her PBS-TV show Dragon Tales.
