Congregation B'nai Moshe's Kolel
Moshe Institute for Lifelong Jewish
Learning will offer a "Passover
Learning Night" on Monday,
March 8, to give adult learners in-
depth insights into the significance
and theological themes of the
Passover holiday.
Eric Grossman, head of Bible
studies at the Jewish Academy of
Metropolitan Detroit, will open at
7:15 p.m. with a lecture on
"Decoding the Ten Plagues." At the
same time, there will be a Passover
cooking class with Mimi
Markosfsky of Elite Kosher
Catering.
At 8:30 p.m., paiticipants will
choose from "Understanding the
Exodus" with Dr. Stephen Segall,
"Blood on the Doorposts: How
Spiritual Liberation Began in
Physical Slavery" with Ruth
Bergman, "How to Run a Snore-
Free Seder" with Dr. Ed and
Barbara Klarman and "Don't Pass
Over the Library" with Sherry
Wasserman and Nancy Kaplan.
Tuition is $10 per person for
members of the congregation ($18
for two or more adults in the same
family) and $15 per person for oth-
ers ($25 for two or more adults in
the same family). There is a tuition
discount for students and no charge
for professional Jewish educators.
Advance registration is encouraged
but not required; registration will
