cessful mechanical engineer and
inventor, Mr. Goldsmith was lovingly,
thought of as "Uncle Babe" to gener-
ations of his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife
of 49 years, Mary Anne Goldsmith;

died Feb. 15, 2004. She was an
accounting clerk for the federal gov-
ernment.
Mrs. Katz is survived by her broth-
er, Julius Katchan.
