I grew up in Philadelphia attending Jewish Day

Schools and knew early on that I was fascinated

by Jewish education. Once I

discovered Davidson, I knew there

was no other choice for me. There,

I was exposed to the greatest professors in text, history,

and pedagogy. They taught me how to educate the

whole child...how to meet the differentiated needs of

each student. I soaked up everything I could

from them, not just during classes, but in every

interaction. Now when I teach Jewish history —

my own personal interest — I know I

can be effective in planting the

seeds of continued Jewish

identity in every child.
