She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Inna and Gennady Bilzon of Farmington Hills; grandchildren, Shanna and Fava Lurie, Alexander and Alina Bilzon;,great-grandchil- dren, Eleondra Michelle Lurie, Ruven Lurie. KLEIN, 67, of Farmington Hills, died Jan. 26, 2004. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine and was a practicing der- matologist for 40 years. While at U-M, Dr. Klein was a member of the Galen's Honorary Medical Society, was a winner of the AOA research award and was active in the integration of the U- M medical fraternity Klein system. During his career, Dr. Klein was active in research and developed and patented 45 products that are used by dermatologists, plas- tic surgeons and universities in 30 countries. Among his patents are the TCA masque and Glyderm Cosmeceuticals. He was awarded a . full U.S. patent for his new amino acid anti-oxidants, used by skin spe- cialists worldwide. Among Dr. Klein's involvements were the Society for the Advancement of Gifted Education, the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Interlochen Center for the Arts. His great love of music led to his becoming the principal clarinetist with the Dearborn Symphony for many years. He was also a member of the Angell Society of the University of Michigan and of the Israel Museum. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Helene and Martin Davidson of Farmington Hills; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kate Klein of Birmingham; grand- children, Jennifer and Laura Davidson and Benjamin Klein. A memorial service was held at the Dorfman Chapel. He was the brother of the late Tessie and the late Esther Lippard. Services and interment were pri- vate. Arrangements by the Ralph Schugar Chapel Inc. in Pittsburgh. HERMAN OPATOWSKI, 93, of Oak Park, died Jan. 21, 2004. He was born in Kielce, Poland, one of nine children and escaped during the Death March, following internment in Auschwitz in January 1945. He was the only survivor of his family. Mr. Opatowski set- tled in Detroit in 1950 and worked for many years for the Jewish War Veterans; he Opatowski was an hon- orary veteran. In 1981, Mr. Opatowski and his family traveled to Israel for the first Holocaust Survivors Gathering. He then traveled with his family back to Kielce in 1986 to rededicate the Jewish cemetery. Just this fall, he made the trip to Washington, D.C., for the tribute to Holocaust Survivors with his wife, children and grandchildren. Mr. Opatowski is survived by his wife, Yetta Opatowski; daughter, Helena and Dr. Joel Shavell; son and
