"We are all members of the same family." Founder of the internationally known Institute for the Healing of Racism, Dr. Rutstein spent the early part of his career as a network jour- nalist. He has authored 16 books, including five on race relations. After his keynote address, he led a workshop on "Uniting Humanity at a Time of War and Terrorism." Among the four other workshops was "Leaps of Faith: The Faith Community Responds to Diversity," led by Steve Spreitzer, interfaith coordinator -for the Michigan Region of the National Conference for Community and Justice.
