Judaic Studies at Wayne State
University will screen a documentary
The Eternal Road, with commentary
by Dr. Guy Stern, WSU professor of
German.
The free program will take place at
3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, at Baldwin
Public Library, 300 W. Merrill,
Birmingham. Light refreshments will
follow.
While filming his father's return to
his hometown in Germany, filmmak-
er Ron Frank began documenting
the restaging of the musical drama

The Eternal Road.
This pageant was first staged in
1937 in New York City. It was
intended to symbolize the threatened
condition of the Jews in Nazi
Germany.

roundtable discussion on "Detroit's
Road Map to Coolness." Featured

Linda V. Parker, director of the
Michigan Department of Civil
Rights; and Chauncey Mayfield,
president of Mayfield, Gentry LLC.
A representative from the Detroit
Economic Growth Corp. will partic-
ipate.
