Q : My mother is . living in a nursing home
and the social worker is suggesting pre-paying

A: A guaranteed funeral contract is deemed a
non-countable asset for nursing home residents.
Pre-paying her expenses not only takes care of
these expenses with her funds, it also guarantees
any future costs being covered with interest
made in the account.
