folks at Frankenmuth's Bavarian Inn ...
A good night's sleep without seeing
chickens jumping fences.
THOSE SOUTH Beach entrees and
side dishes now going over big at Hello
Deli, on Maple and Farmington roads in
West Bloomfield, are not something
made up in the minds of owner Shelly
Weiss and her staff.
They're all from low- and no-carbohy-
drate recipes by many of those terrific
South Beach, Fla., chefs ... in the mighty
popular book The South Beach Diet by
cardiologist Dr. Arthur Agostos.
Goodies like salmon fillet stuffed with
spinach, chicken saute, marinated
London broil, portobella mushroom
pizza, South Beach mashed potatoes of
cauliflower or broccoli, poached salmon
with dill sauce, etc.
So many customers at Hello Deli are
thrilled at being able to get the delicious
low- and no-carb recipes ... but even
more so prepared by Rose Guttman,
Maya Kay, Rhonda Kerner, etc.

DANNY YU, GARY YAU ... People

not getting their names mixed up and
more new dishes at Hong Hua.

them with eyes
closed, don't think
they are sleeping
on the job.
Diane Schramm
and Maria Holzer,
receptionists in the Tony Bennett
ENT (Ear, Nose
Throat) Department at Ford Medical
Center in West Bloomfield are probably
doing a slight meditation bit.
It's their "stay fit" resolution for the
New Year ... by relieving stress with yoga.
Diane's son, Jason, recently opened his
Detroit Yoga on Catalpa in Royal Oak
... with emphasis on taking body and
mind to a higher level.
Diane and Maria sleep on • the job? ...
No way, says ENT nurse Fern Edelstein
... not with all the work they have to get
done ... Besides, whoever heard of any-
one answering the phone and sleeping at
the same time? ... (Jason's number, by
the way, is 248-545-5596.) 0
