Alec is an eighth-
grade honor student
at Berkshire Middle
School in Beverly Hills. For his primary
mitzvah project, Alec is collecting toys,
art supplies and other materials for
Camp Mak-A-Dream in Montana, a
camp for children with cancer.
Jacob Nathan Shecter was called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 13, at the Shut He is the son of
Sandy and Kenny Shecter and the
brother of Mitchell
and Shayni. Sharing
in the simchah were
his grandparents
Joann Shecter and
Shoshana and
Henryk Kestenberg.
He is also the grand-
son of the late Ben
Shecter.
Jacob was a dou-
ble honor student at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills and is attending Yeshivat Akiva.
His mitzvah project included volunteer-
ing for Women's American ORT and
participating in the Dor L'Dor program
through Hillel. He plans to continue
volunteering with the Friendship Circle
after his bar mitzvah.

Adam Reuben Feldman celebrated his
bar mitzvah on Friday, Nov. 14, and
Saturday, Nov. 15, at Congregation
Brith Shalom in Houston, Texas. He is
the son of Marla and Stewart Feldman
and brother of Amy. Proud grandparents
are Gert and David Matz of West
Bloomfield and
Sylvia and Benjamin
Feldman of lake
Worth, Fla.
Adam is a sev-
enth-grade honor
student at I. Weiner
Middle school. His
mitzvah projects
include creating a
Web site for Merfish
Center and helping out at Patrice
House, an emergency, children's shelter.
He is donating a portion of his mone-
tary gifts to the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society.
