Always Helping Others

W
alking through the bright, shiny new
Shalom Street, you can imagine chil-
dren running through the exhibits, try-
ing on costumes, thinking aloud for answers to
questions posed about Jewish values and tradi-
tions.
Amid the colorful, kid-friendly exhibits at this
new interactive cultural children's museum at the
Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield
are lessons for adults as well as children, for non-
Jews as well as the most observant. What ties Jews
together though we live in nearly every country in
the world? How are we different from others?
What can we do to truly help repair the world?
You'll find these answers and more — just take
a walk down Shalom Street when it opens Dec.
21.
