Israel during Havdalah services
Saturday, Dec. 6. She is the
daughter of Michele and Henry
Scharg and sister of Bradley. Her
grandparents are Irene and
Nathan Rosen. She is also the
grandchild of the
late Ruth and
Samuel Scharg.
An honor stu-
dent at Warner
Middle School in
Farmington
Hills, Samantha
found it especial-
ly meaningful to
raise funds for
the Bear Hug Foundation and to
participate in the Relay for Life
Cancer Walk as part of her mitz-
vah projects.

Lindsay Erin Singer will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Dec. 6, at Temple Beth
El. She is the-daughter of Nancy
and Kevin Singer and sister of
Ryan and Jake.

grandparents are
Patricia and
Gerald Katchman
and Arlene and
Sheldon Singer.
Lindsay is a
seventh-grade
honor student at
Orchard Lake
Middle School in West
Bloomfield. Her mitzvah projects
included playing bingo with the
residents at American House and
raising money for the Diabetes
Association. She also volunteered
at the Grodman Cure
Foundation's annual fun run.

daughter of Helene and Avery
Sommerfeld and sister of Jordan,
will celebrate her bat mitzvah
during Havdalah services
Saturday, Dec. 6,
at Temple Israel.

grandchild of the

School in West Bloomfield. She
helped to build a sukkah at a
JARC home and helped with
°third-graders at Temple Israel as
part of her mitzvah projects.

Hillary Iras Wallace, daughter of
Heidi and Michael Wallace, will
celebrate her bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel Saturday, Dec. 6.
She is the sister of Zachary. Her
excited grandparents are Anita
and Dr. Seymour
Cywiak and
Harriet Wallace.
She is also the
grandchild of the
late Arnold
Wallace. Her
proud great-
grandmother is
Helen Weinstock
Kurtz. Her late
great-grandparents are Mary and
Herbert Wallace, Iras and Sam
Gordon and Irving Weinstock.
Hillary attends Warner Middle

Through the Friendship Circle,
she works with a young boy with
Down Syndrome. She also partici-
pated in a Temple Israel-spon-
sored visit to a senior citizen resi-
dence.
