Israel. He is the
brother of
Alexandra, Jake and
Sam. Sharing in the
simchah will be
grandparents Phyllis
and Edwin Bean
and Rhea Gordon.
He is also the grandson of the late
Norman Gordon.
Attending West Hills Middle School
in Bloomfield Hills, where he is an
honor student, Max helped with a spe-
cial needs baseball team and volunteered
at the Denby Orphanage as part of his
mitzvah projects.

Hannah Rose Heavenrich celebrated
her bat mitzvah recently through the
Workmen's Circle/Arbeter Ring-The
Circle of Jewish Culture. Hannah is
the daughter of Diane Urquhart and
Richard Heavenrich and sister of Ben
and Lizzy. Her proud grandparents
are Louis and Evalyn Heavenrich and
Genevieve
Urquhart. Her
presentation was
titled "Children of
the Holocaust-Let
the Children
Speak."
Hannah is an all-
A student at Norup
Middle School in
Oak Park. For her
mitzvah project, Hannah worked with
children 62 hours as leader in training
for the city of Huntington Woods
summer camps.

All West Bloomfield schools and educational programs will be
open to the public to visit on a special afternoon.

Alex King (Elizer Levi) of West

Bloomfield will be called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 6.
at Congregation B'nai Moshe. Proud
family members include his parents,
Debi and Steve King, brother Scott
and grandparents Ida and Jack H.
Schwartz of Oak Park and Clare and
Meyer King of
Farmington Hills.
Alex is a seventh-
grade student at
Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan
Detroit in
Farmington Hills.
For the past year,
he has enjoyed
being a volunteer
with the Friendship Circle. In addi-
tion, each year, Alex and his brother
buy school supplies and donate them
for use by less fortunate students in
area schools.
