FREDA RUBENSTEIN, 93, former
Detroiter of Danville, Calif., died Nov.
26, 2003. She was born and raised in
Philadelphia and moved to Detroit at
the age of 25. She loved being with her
family and was admired for her won-
derful baking.
Mrs. Rubenstein is survived by her
daughters and son-in-law, Suzy
(Marvin) Locke Cohen of Piedmont,
Calif, Doris Rubenstein of
Minneapolis, Minn.; brother, Martin
Glassman of N. Miami, Fla. many lov-
ing stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-
grandchildren.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial

SANFORD "SANDY" RUBIN, 87, of
Southfield, died Dec. 2, 2003.
He is survived by his beloved wife,

Sousanis of Dryden, Martha Sempliner
and Joseph Trice of Ferndale; grandchil-
dren, John and Autumn Sousanis, Dan
Sousanis, Nick Sousanis; great-grand-
child, Constantine Sousanis. He was
the beloved husband of the late Rosalie
Sempliner; loving father of the late
David Sempliner.
