Max Aaron Blitz will celebrate his bar
mitzvah when he is called to the Torah
Saturday, Nov. 29, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. He is
the son of Lauren
and Andy Blitz,
brother of Jillian
and grandson of
Elinor and Morton
Trotsky and Mary
and Lou Blitz.
Max is a seventh-
grade honor student
at Abbott Middle
School in West Bloomfield. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was to vol-
unteer to work with the children at the
Adat Shalom day camp this past sum-
mer.

Zachary Aaron Bloom will read from
the Torah on the occasion of his bar
mitzvah at Temple Israel Friday, Nov.
28. He is the son of Randee and Dr.
Robert Bloom and the brother of
Ashley and Caitlin. Sharing in the sim-
chah will be his
grandparents John
and Jerry Bloom
and Fran Penskar.
He is also the
grandchild of the
late Sol Penskar.
Zachary attends
Abbott Middle
School in West
Bloomfield. His
most meaningful mitzvah project
involved beginning a recycling bottle
program at his grandmother's senior
apartment complex. He has also used
his computer skills to assist in the can-
tors' office at the temple.

called to Torah at
Congregation Beth
Israel in Ann Arbor
for the reading of
the Torah- and
Haftorah on
Saturday, Nov. 8.

Judy and Sophia are in the eighth
grade at Tappan Middle School in Ann
Arbor and are graduates of the Hebrew
Day School of Ann Arbor. The girls
requested that, in lieu of gifts, donations
be made to one of several of their
favorite charities.
Sam Bradley, son of Toni Trager-
Bradley and Jeffrey Bradley, will cele-
brate as the first bar mitzvah at
Congregation Chaye Olam, on Friday,
Nov. 28. He is the
brother of Max. Very
proud grandparents
are Toby and Larry
Trager. He is also the
grandson of the late
Phil Bradley and the
late Irene Danto
Bradley.
Sam is an eighth-
grader at Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills. His mitzvah project
was working at Yad Ezra in Berkley.
Zachary Jacob Caskey, together with his
parents, Diane and Mark Caskey, cele-
brated his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel
Saturday, Nov. 22. He is the brother of
Russell, Rylan and Cayla. His grand-
mother is Justine Caskey. He is also the
grandson of the late Rena and Gerald
Rosen-field and the late Vincent Ralph
Caskey.

Arthritis 5K Walk
with his family. He also visited residents
at Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield.
Hadas Marisa Corey, together with her
parents, Lisa and Louis Corey, will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah Saturday, Nov. 29,
at Temple Israel. She is the sister of Sam.
Her excited grandparents are Barbara
and Sheldon Weisberg and Marjorie
Corey. She is also the grandchild of the
late Joseph Corey and the great-grand-
