years ago to the present day," Linz
says, noting another screen theme.
"Alex is kind of a ball hog and he
has a lot of showmanship going.
During the course of the movie, he
learns the importance of teamwork.
He becomes a less-selfish person. It's
about giving yourself to other people."
Linz, already a showbiz veteran
with credits like One Fine Day,
Providence and Max Keeble's Big
Move, began acting at age 6, when
his mother's friend, a casting direc-
tor, suggested he try commercials as
a way to save for college.
He's already making plans for the
latter. "As of now, I want to be a
journalist. I want to do an interna-
tional relations program at Berkeley
and then go to Columbia for a mas-
ter's in journalism," he projects, not
sure whether or not he'll continue to
act as an adult.
He's currently exploring interests
in photography, reading and music.
With some friends from Hebrew
school, he has a band for which he
sings and writes lyrics. "We're trying
to find our sound," he says.
Linz, like Jones, keeps in touch
with actors he met on Full-Court
Miracle. He made a fast friend in co-
star and fellow musician Jase
Blankfort, a New Yorker who plays
Stick Goldstein.
"In the movie we're best friends,
and we became really close friends,
Linz says. "We've made plans to visit
each other." El
