"Aliyah is very doable with the right
attitude," Nessie Fischer said on

Lowenthal, who lives in Ranana, a
Jerusalem suburb, spoke at the meet-
ing about his family's aliyah experi-
ence.
"People in Israel are very supportive
of new olim," he said. "It's like an
extended family; everyone's so help-

He said that finding a job in Israel
was the hardest part of the move, but
that everyone he knows found work
there.
Paul Linden, formerly of Oak Park,
made aliyah with his family in July.
He was in town on business and came
to Chug Aliyah to encourage others to
make the big move. He happily
reported that his family's three teenage
children are adjusting well to their
new life.
"[Aliyah is] the best thing we could
possibly have done," he said.
"It's easier to plan aliyah as a
group," said Rabbi Shlomo Sobol,
head of Detroit's Kollel Torah
Mi'Tzion. "We can support each
other. Those who make aliyah get a
tremendous spiritual reward. It's time
to start the process." I
