The couple returned to Israel and were able to use the training to take care of patients, and then the pro- gram was developed to give others the opportunity. The program, which has been funded through private donations and department funds, needs both a long-term endowment of $2 million and annual funding of $100,000 to support the Israeli fellows as they go through the training, Dr. Lawrence said.
