Teens/Sports ni c5ireel ofczoasicHoomfradi British Itlattcabi Invites Detroiters M accabi Detroit has been invit- ed to participatein the Maccabi Great Britain Youth Games, Aug. 1-6, 2004.The team will be in Britain a few days prior to the games, enjoying home hospitali- ty with British Jewish families. Some 300 participants, ages 13-15, are expected from Great Britain, Israel, Europe and America. The games will include sports com- petitions, social and educational Jewish programs with a strong Israel focus. Sports will include soccer, bas- ketball, netball, tennis, table tennis and many sports clinics. Unlike the JCC Maccabi Games in the U.S., competitions are reduced to a "fun" level and participants will try a wide range of sports.
