A DAZZLING

helped make dolls at Hadassah House
in West Bloomfield and donated funds
to the American Cancer Society.

Joshua Louis Zeman, son of Marci
and Paul Zeman and brother of Jeffrey
and Carli, will be called to the Torah
at Temple Israel Saturday, Nov. 15, on
the occasion of his bar mitzvah.
Sharing in the simchah will be his
grandparents Avis and Harold Wolfe
and Maggie
Zeman. He is the
grandson of the late
Robert Zeman and
the great-grand-
child of the late
Sharon and
Herman Wise and
the late Dorothy
and Irving Wolfe.
Attending
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield, where he is an honor stu-
dent, Josh found it meaningful to help
build a sukkah at a JARC home and
to donate funds to the Multiple
Sclerosis Society.

Out Of State

Jamie Nicole Finkle of Buffalo Grove,
Ill., will be called to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 15, at
Congregation Beth Judea in Long
Grove, Ill. Her proud parents are
Davida (Markowitz), formerly of
Southfield, and Scott Finkle. She is the
sister of Joshua and Abby and grand-
daughter of Faith and Morrie Finkle of
Buffalo Grove. She
is also the grand-
daughter of the late
Shirley and Harry
Markowitz.
Jamie is a seventh-
grade high honor
student at Twin
Groves Junior High
School in Buffalo
Grove. She partici-
pated in Beth Judea's 13 mitzvot pro-
gram, which required completion of 13
learning and doing activities, including
participation in a buddy baseball pro-
gram assisting children with special
needs.

and Michael and Carol
Corman of West Bloomfield
are excited to announce the engage-
ment of their son Bruce Howard
Corman to Jennifer Maeve Schwartz,
daughter of Gerald and Elaine
Schwartz of Kensington, Md.
Bruce attended the University of
Michigan Schaal of Engineering and
Jenny attended Cornell University,
School of Hotel Administration in
New York.
They met in Austin, Texas, where
they currently reside.
An autumn 2004 wedding is
planned in Austin.

M aria Alter and Ira Sklar are
delighted to announce their
engagement.
Marla is the mother of Beth and
Robert Alter and the daughter of Sara
Kovalsky and the late Milton
Kovalsky.
Ira is the father of Jared, Heather
and Lindsay Sklar and the son of the
