of the show, she said, so the proceeds of
the ticket sales went directly to JARC to
run its 20 group homes, provide support
for independent living and continue its
other services.
In other JARC news, on Sept. 23, the
Michigan Legislature issued a proclama-

don signed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm
and presented by Sen. Gilda Jacobs, D-
Huntington Woods, honoring Joyce
Keller, JARC executive director, on her
25th anniversary with the organization.

he whole family got into the sukkah-decorating business Oct. 8 at
Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills.
Two-hundred children and adults enjoyed a pizza dinner, explored
the meaning and symbols of the holiday with Rabbi Daniel Nevins and cre-
ated arts and crafts projects to decorate the synagogue's sukkah and to take
home.

Corrections

• The locations for George Salton's
Jewish Book Fair lectures on
Tuesday, Nov. 11, were incorrect
(Oct. 24, page 76). He will be
speaking at 10 a.m. at the Jewish
Community Center in West
Bloomfield and 7 p.m. at the JCC
in Oak Park.

• Last Week's Community
Calendar (page 39-40) misspelled
Channel 7 reporter Cheryl Chodun's
name and workplace, WXYZ-TV.

• The Jewish Academy soccer
team did not lose the Oct. 15 game
against 'Walled Lake Northern (Oct.
31, page 14). The First-year team
tied Northern, 2-2, and has a 1-5-1
record.

The publicity department of IVBC-TV
apparently cant tell one average Joe
front another: It sent the wrong photo
for Farmington Hills-raised partici-
pant Brad .Holcman (Oct. 31, page
60). Pictured above is the real-Brad,
who appears on the reality show
'Average Joe."
