Assisted by John Gibson, archivist at Burton Historical Collection of Detroit Public Library, Evenhuis will present a 140-year trip in words and pictures trac- ing the library's history from its begin- nings to the present. Special emphasis will be placed on branch libraries in the Jewish community and the Jewish com- munity's contributions to the library, especially those of Rabbis Leo M. Franklin and Leon Fram.
