Ann Arbor
he annual Ann Arbor tradi-
tion of Apples and Honey, a
family celebration of the fall
holidays, took place at the Jewish
Community Center of Washtenaw
County on Sept. 21. The event
brought out all the local Jewish
organizations.
A family-friendly event, Apples
and Honey included apple tasting, a
Sponge Bob Square Pants jumper, an
7
obstacle slide, shofar blowing, face
painting and other interactive crafts.
The Maccabi team held a used book
sale. The Early Childhood Center
sold baked goods from Zeman's New
York Bakery in Oak Park.
The outdoor festivities were fol-
lowed by an indoor children's con-
cert, featuring nationally known
songwriter and Jewish music educa-
tor Elaine Serling.
