bar mitzvah dur-
ing Havdalah
services Saturday,
Oct. 4, at Temple
Israel. His grand-
parents are Eileene and Jeff Wach-
ler. He is also the grandchild of the
late Lucille and Tom Thomas.
Jordan is a student at Detroit
Country Day School in Beverly
Hills. He found it particularly
meaningful to help elderly people
with chores and to volunteer at Yad
Ezra in Berkley.

David Appleton
Zuckerman will
be called to the
Torah as a bar
mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 4,
at Temple Beth El.
His parents, Betsy
Appleton and Eric
Zuckerman, are
proud to share this lifecycle with
David's grandparents Fay and
Sidney Zuckerman of Boca Raton,
Fla., and Harriet Appleton of
Sarasota, Fla. David is also the
grandson of the late Norman R.
Appleton.
David is an honor student at
Bloomfield Hills Middle School.

ing food at Gleaners in Detroit and
volunteering at the Jewish
Community Center at the Fame
Games for athletes with disabilities.
