HAROLD LENHOFF, 85, of West Bloomfield, died Sept. 24, 2003. He dis- tinguished himself in the South Pacific campaign of World War II, serving over- seas for four years including service in Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines. Rising to master sergeant, Mr. Lenhoff was decorated with the Bronze Star Medal. He also earned a Distinguished Unit Badge, an American Defense Service Ribbon, an Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon with Bronze Battle Stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon . with three Bronze Battle Stars. After the war ended, Mr. Lenhoff worked for Ford Motor Company and retired in 1980. He enjoyed following the stock market as a hobby, as well as gar- dening. He enjoyed following the sports teams of Michigan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Myrtle Lenhoff daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Al Moore of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; son, Glen Lenhoff of Fenton, Mich.; brother, Sidney Lenhoff of West Bloomfield; granddaughter, Rebecca Cunningham.
