Dr. Steven E. Pitt of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Southfield and a graduate of Southfield Lathrup High, received Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association's Physician of the Year Award and was the keynote speaker at Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine hooding and commencement cer- emony in East Lansing. Barbara Robinson-Dunn, Ph.D., technical direc- tor of microbiology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, has been appointed to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Robinson-Dunn, of Okemos, will provide scientific and technical advice on stan- dards for regulating clinical laboratories. Dr. Nat Pernick, a board-certified pathologist in Bingham Farms, is the co-author of a recently published paper in the Annals of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Warren Brandes of Bloomfield Hills, a specialist in ear, nose and throat, was one on the list of top doctors issued by Consumer's Checkbook Magazine„ Brandes a program of the Center for the Study of Services.
