RENOVATIONS

Support for the State of Israel
is a classroom activity.

Jewish day schools give our children a deep understanding of Israel's
importance. In Jewish day schools, Israel is not taught as a history or
social studies lesson, but as central to our lives as Jews. Students learn
that Israel is a national homeland for all Jews, a sovereign Jewish State
with an effective army committed to protecting it, a historic and current
center of Torah study, and the sole democracy in the Middle East. More
than anything, our children develop a sense of kinship with their Israeli
brothers and sisters.

The AVI CHAI Foundation is a proud supporter of the BEIS CHAYA
MUSHKA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL/OHOLEI YOSEF YITSCHAK
LUBAVITCH, JEWISH ACADEMY OF METROPOLITAN
DETROIT, and YESHIVAS DARCHEI TORAH.

We're gratified that this school is showing its support for Israel in the
classroom and endorses the following statement:

"The creation of the State of Israel is one of the seminal events
in Jewish history. Recognizing the significance of the State and
its national institutions, we seek to instill in our students an
attachment to the State of Israel as well as a sense of responsibility
for its welfare."*

In today's difficult times, Israel needs all of our support. Now is the
time for us to stand behind Israel in the classroom, in our thoughts and
in our actions.

*All the listed schools have agreed on the significance of the State of Israel and of its national institutions,
although, as in every democracy, not every school agrees with all of the policies and decisions of the institutions.
