Mr. Rothenberg is survived by his
daughter, Marjorie Schane; son, Barry
Rothenberg; four grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren. He was the
beloved husband of the late Goldie.

Bloomfield, died Sept. 22, 2003.
She is survived by her son and

Chason of Chicago; brother, William
Pearlman of Ann Arbor; grandchil-
dren, Paul, Holly, Dana, Wendy; sever-
al great-grandchildren. She was the
loving sister of the late Rose Bassin.

LUCIA SCHON, 90, of West

Bloomfield, died Sept. 21, 2003.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Ron and Marilyn

Alexander "Sasha" Wolton. She was
the beloved wife of the late Alexander
Wolton; loving mother of the late
Rudy Wolton.

MORRIS W. SCHWARTZ, 87, of
West Bloomfield, died Sept. 20, 2003.
He is survived by his daughters and
sons-in-law, Linda and Ted Robinson
of Bloomfield Hills, Wendy and
Howard Horowitz of Encinitas, Calif.;
son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Mark
and Merryl Schwartz of West
Bloomfield; sisters, Mary Kolko of
Farmington Hills, Rose Fink of Oak
Park; grandchildren, Marlowe (Elijah)
B'Sheart, Hershel "Blake" (Keter)
Robinson, Spenser Robinson (fiancee',
Dame Gray), Scott Schwartz and
Megan Horowitz; great-grandchildren,
Melanie, Yehoshua, Chana, Sarah and

Anais. He was the beloved husband of
the late Ann Schwartz; brother of the
late Ida Junker and the late Dora
Siegel.
Interment at the B'nai Jacob

DR. JOSEPH SHORE, 69, of Grosse

Pointe Farms, died Sept. 17, 2003.
Dr. Shore received his bachelor of
science degree from Cornell University
in Ithaca, N.Y., his master of science
degree from University of
Massachusetts in Amhurst and his
doctor of philosophy
degree from Rutgers
in New Brunswick,
N.J.
Among his many
professional affiliations
were the American
Society of Biomedical
Shore
Chemists, the
Biophysical Society
and the International
Committee on Thrombosis and
Haemostasis.
In 1957, Dr. Stone was a first lieu-
tenant with the U.S. Army Medical
Research and Nutrition Laboratory in
Denver. In 1967, he became an
adjunct professor in the Department
of Biological Chemistry at the Wayne
State University School of Medicine.
As of 1979, Dr. Stone was the head of
the division of biochemical research in
the Department of Pathology at Henry
Ford Hospital. He began teaching as
an adjunct professor in the
Department of Chemistry at the
University of Windsor in 1997. From
200 until his death, he was a professor
of pharmacology at WSU School of
Medicine.
Dr. Shore had some 86 published
articles to his credit and had presented
some 84 papers at papers professional
conferences and meetings.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Lyla
Leipzig Shore; daughter, Elissa Shore
of Colorado; sister and brother-in-law,
Joan and Robert Federbusch of
Florida; sister-in-law and brother-in-
law, Cyvia and David Snyder.
Contributions may be made to a chari-
ty of one's choice. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.
