Berkun, Midwest Rabbinic
Fellow for the Jewish Theological
Seminary of America, titled An
Inward Journey of Teshuvah,"
with the rabbi offering exercises
in spiritual meditation. The
10:30 p.m. Selichot service will
be led by Rabbis Joseph Krakoff
and Jonathan Berkun. Cantor
Chaim Najman will chant the
litiggy of Selichot, assisted by
the Shaarey Zedek synagogue
choir, directed by Eugene Zweig.

Sara Tugman Bais Chabad Torah
Center will offer two classes for
teenagers starting Sunday, Sept. 21.
The boys' class will be Sundays 11
a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Torah
Center. Rabbi Avraham Wineberg will
speak on the Torah portion, biblical
personalities, Jewish concepts and
prophets until noon; Rabbi Elimelech
Silberberg will teach "The Deeper
Meaning and Application of Mitzvot"
from noon to 12:30.
Teenage girls will meet Sundays
with Chaya Silberberg from 11 a.m.
to12:15 p.m. at her home, 6605
Alderly Way, West Bloomfield. She
will speak on the Jewish calendar, the
Torah portion and general concepts in
Judaism.
Both classes are free of charge, but
registration must be made by calling
the Torah Center, (248) 855-6170.

Young Adults
Discuss Mideast

Young Adults of Adat Shalom is host-
ing "Israel's Terminology War" at 7
p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at the home of
Annise and David Goodman.
David Aisner will answer questions,
define the terms of the Middle East
conflict and present a historical view.
A dessert buffet will be provided.
