He graduated from Wayne Sate University in 1962 and after earning his CPA certi- fication, he formed an accounting part- nership, Woronoff and Hyman, with Ralph Woronoff. Even after his retire- ment in 1998, he was called on to do the partners' and clients' tax returns. Mr. Hyman was a member of AEPi fraternity at WSU and after graduation continued as an adviser. He then organ- ized a Wednesday luncheon group. Mr. Hyman served as a president of the B'nai B'rith Accountants Unit and on the board of BBYO for 18 years. His passion was sports and, combined with his photographic memory, he could recite the Tigers starting lineups for every year starting with 1935. He could do this for other sports as well. Mr. Hyman is survived by his wife, Eileen Lawson Hyman; daughter, Tracie Ratiner; son, Andrew Ratiner; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Carole Hyman of Bloomfield Hills; sister and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Rob Roy of Ohio, Bruce Lawson. He was a dentist in Pennsylvania for more than 40 years. Dr. Kaplan was a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and was former execu- tive secretary of the Dental Society of Chester and Delaware Counties in Pennsylvania. In the late 1980s, he and the society's presi- dent, Samuel Cimino, Dr. Kaplan responded to a short- _ age of dental hygien- ists by helping to establish the School for Dental Hygiene at Harcum College in Bryn Mawr. Dr. Kaplan grew up in Northeast Philadelphia.
