ANNA FAIGIN, 89, of Southfield,
died Sept. 3, 2003.
A graduate of Detroit Central High
School and Wayne University, Mrs.
Faigin was a former teacher in the
Detroit Public Schools and at Adat
Shalom Synagogue. After retirement
from Vandenberg Elementary in 1973
as a kindergarten
teacher, she devoted
her time to painting,
ceramics, golf and
community organiza-
tions, including
Hadassah and Yad
Ezra.

a math tutor, English
teacher to New Americans and in
synagogue activities.
She is survived by her daughter,
Linda Faigin Wayne of West
Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-law,
Drs. Al and Nancy Faigin of Ft.
Worth, Texas; sister, Esther Levine of
Glendale, Calif.; and grandchildren,
Renee and Karl Wayne of West
Bloomfield and Jennifer and J.R.
Faigin of Ft. Worth.
She was the beloved wife for 63
years of the late Joseph Faigin.
Interment at Beth Abraham
