Kathryn Krickstein Pressel
used the tough-mindedness
and positive approach she learned
playing championship tennis in her
four-year fight with the breast cancer.
That battle ended on Sept. 4, 2003.
"Even though she had this horrible
disease, she never complained about
it, and she never gave up," said her
husband, Michael Pressel.
The only thing she cared about
was her family," said her father, Dr.
Herbert Krickstein, "She was very
devoted to her family, especially her
children."
Mrs. Pressel, 43, of Boca Raton,
Fla., was born in Boston and grew up
in Grosse Pointe where she met her
husband.
She received a degree in communi-
cations from the University of
Michigan, where she also became a

CHARLOTTE ANN ANDRES, 56,
of Detroit, died Sept. 7, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter,
Elise McCurdy of Roseville; mother,
Estelle Sternberg of Oak Park; broth-
ers, Gerald Sternberg of Oak Park
and Phillip Sternberg of Farmington
Hills. She was the dear daughter of
the late Saul Sternberg.

MARILYN (GLASSMAN)
BERESH, 87, formerly of
Huntington Woods and West
Bloomfield, of Palm Beach, Fla., died
Aug. 14, 2003.
Mrs. Beresh was a pioneer in stock
club investing and an avid bridge
player. She and her late husband were
in the jewelry business for over 35
years and were charter members of
Adat Shalom Synagogue. She was a
member of Women's American ORT,
Hadassah and B'nai B'rith.

U.S. Women's Open when she was

Mrs. Beresh is survived by her sis-

and Ashley Rosen.
She was the wife of the late Leo Beresh.

SHARON BERNSTEIN, 64, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Sept. 3, 2003.
She is survived by her son,
Howard Bernstein of Urbandale,
Iowa; daughter and son-in-law,
Marcy and Michael Ammons, of
Bloomfield Hills; sister and brother-
in-law Edith and Jerry Screiman, of
Las Vegas, Nev.; brother-in-law
Charles Zamek; grandchildren,
Rachel and Matthew Ammons.
She was the beloved sister of the
late Lois Zamek.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

by Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

FRANK COHEN, 88, of Southfield,
died Sept. 7, 2003. For 35 years he
was a surveyor and regulator in
Pennsylvania.
Mr. Cohen is survived by his
daughter and son-in-law, Michelle
and Myron Bender of Farmington
Hills and grandchildren, Meryl and
Mitchell Bender.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Nettie Cohen, the loving father
of the late Charles M. Cohen and the
dear brother of the late Martin
Cohen, the late Joe Cohen, the late
Samuel Cohen, the late Anne, the
late Gertrude, the late Clara and the
late Lee.
Interment at Shalom Memorial
Park in Pennsylvania. Contributions
may be directed to the American
Heart Association. Arrangements by
Ira Kaufman Chapel.

DANIEL EPSTEIN, 81, of
Southfield, died Sept. 4, 2003.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Elaine Epstein; daughters, Cheryl
Epstein of Oak Park, Felice Epstein
of West Bloomfield; son, Stephen
