She is the daughter of Sara and Craig Pomish of Farmington Hills and sister of Ethan. Sharing in the simchah were grand- mothers Jeanette Pomish of West Bloomfield and Margaret Spigler of Philadelphia. She is also the grand- daughter of the late Irving Pomish and the late William Spigler. Morgan is an honor student at Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills. She entertained and assisted at the Hechtman Apartments in West Bloomfield as part of her mitzvah proj- ect. Shony Leib Reuven of West Bloomfield will be called to the Torah as a bar mitz- vah on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek West Bloomfield, B'nai Israel Center. He is the son of Denise (Ruby) Reuven. Proud grandparents are Marge Ruby of West Bloomfield, Earl Ruby of Southfield and Kathy Shenkar of Ramat Gan, Israel. Shony has been an honor student at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills and at Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield. He enjoyed working at the Fountains of Franklin, a residen- tial care facility. He will contribute to the Israel Defense Forces. Elyse Danielle Shapiro will celebrate her bat mitzvah on Friday, Sept. 5, at Temple Israel. She is the daughter of Michelle and Dr. Jeffley Shapiro. Her sisters are Rachel and Rikki. Her grandparents are Marcia and Bernard Shapiro and Elaine Ryke. She is also the grandchild of the late Eddie Ryke. Her proud great- grandmother is Ann Taylor. Elyse is a student at Berkshire Middle School in Beverly Hills. Her most meaningful mitzvah project involved let- ting her hair grow for over three years and then cutting it 11 inches for Locks of Love, an organization that helps can- cer patients by creating wigs of real hair. Eric Nathaniel Sircus (Etan) of Franklin will become a bar mitzvah at Temple Beth El on Saturday, Sept. 6. Participating in the ceremony will be his parents, Linda and Scott Sircus, and sis- ter Hilary. Proud grandparents are Sally and Harry Nosanchuk of Farmington Hills and Toby Levin of Aventura, Fla. Eric is a dean's list student at Cranbrook Kingswood Boys Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. His mitzvah projects included working at Yad Ezra in Berkley, bagging food for the Jewish hungry. Eric was also an aide for Temple Beth El's kindergarten Sunday school class. Adam David Small, son of Mark Small and the late Carol Small, will celebrate his bar mitzvah during Havdalah servic- es Saturday, Sept. 6, at Temple Israel. He is the brother of Emily and the grandchild .of Gail and Dr. Milton Goldrath and Dell Warner. He is also the grandson of the late Joan Goldrath and the late Lester Small.
