Johnathan Loren Gross will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Sept.. 6, at Congregation B'nai Moshe.
He is the son of
Marina and Isaak
Gross. Proud grand-
parents are Mary
and Samuil
Maslovich and Lena
and Aron Gross.
Johnathan is an
honor student at
'A=u Walled Lake Middle
School. His mitzvah
projects included preparing packages for
Yad Ezra in Berkley, donating to the
Children's Miracle Network and volun-
teering for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society.

Jacob Itskovich, son of Irina and
Edward Itskovich and brother of Alexis,
will read from the
Torah on the occa-
sion of his bar mitz-
vah at Temple Israel
Friday, Sept. 5. He
is the grandson of
Anna and Vladimir
Goldshteyn and Alla
and Michael
Itskovivch. His
proud great-grand-
mother is Trilya Begun. He is also the
great-grandchild of the late Iosif Begun.
Jacob attends Abbott Middle School
in West Bloomfield. As part of his mitz-
vah projects, he used allowance money
to donate funds to the Israel Emergency
Fund.

Chloe and Spencer Kent will be called
to the Torah as b'nai mitzvah on Friday,
Sept. 5, at Temple Beth El. Proud par-
ents are Bernie and Nina Kent.
Chloe is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Detroit Country Day School in
Beverly Hills. Her most meaningful
project was volunteering at the Temple
Beth El summer day camp for two sum-
mers. She will
donate a portion of
her gifts to charities
that help children
with terminal ill-
nesses.
