Derek Andrew Gerson, son of Jodie and
Norman Kanagur and the late Ronald

is the brother of
Todd and Jeffrey.
His excited grand-

Derek is a student at Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake. For his
mitzvah project, he found it meaningful
to combine his interest in playing the
saxophone with entertaining residents at
a nursing home.

Amy, will celebrate
his bar mitzvah
Saturday, Sept. 6, at
Temple Israel. He is

Mary and Robert

Kevin attends Berkshire Middle
School in Beverly Hills. He felt his most
meaningful mitzvah project was volun-
teering to work with the Purim Parcel
Project.
