On U-M Suit

The Young Adult Division of the
Jewish Federation of Washtenaw
County will host Marvin Krislov, vice
president and general counsel of the
University of Michigan.
He will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 10, at the Jewish Community
Center of Washtenaw County on the
U.S. Supreme Court's recent decisions
in the U-M affirmative action cases.
He will discuss the policies that led to
the litigation, the Supreme Court's
reasoning and what the rulings will
mean for the university.
Krislov is a member of the board of
the Jewish Federation of Washtenaw
County and co-chaired the federation's
annual campaign in 2002 and 2003. A
dessert reception will follow his talk.

Program Welcomes
Young Adults

The Young Adults of Adat Shalom, a
chavurah group, has planned programs
for the upcoming season. YAAS is
open to synagogue members and unaf-
filiated young adults, 21-35, single or
married.
The group will attend the Shabbat
Rocks service, 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5.
A YAAS Shabbat dinner will follow.
Reservations are required.
At 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, the
group will gather at a private home to
talk about "Israel's Terminology War."
