The week-long program has brought
22 Israeli and Palestinian children to
Japan for several days of athletic, cul-
tural and camping activities.

onument Gone
In Alabama

Montgomery/JTA — A Ten
Commandments monument was
removed from the rotunda of the
Alabama Judicial Building. Workers
moved the monument to a non-public
area of the building on Wednesday.
Religious protesters continued to
pray in front of the courthouse. A fed-
eral court ordered the monument
removed on the grounds that it vio-
lates the Constitution's ban on govern-
ment promotion of religion, but
Alabama's chief justice, Roy Moore,
had refused to remove it. As a result,
Moore was suspended from his posi-
tion.

LOW COST REPAIRS FOR THE CAR YOU LOVE

Jerusalem/JTA — One of Ariel
Sharon's sons paid back a loan with
money he received from an anony-
mous businessman, according to

Hdaretz.
The payback of the loan to South
African businessman Cyril Kern with
money from an Austrian bank is
increasing suspicion that the Israeli
prime minister and his son Gilad may
have been involved in illegal activities.
Israel is asking Austria to let it investi-
gate the case in Austria.
