Dr. David Loeffler of Oak Park, investigator in the Royal Oak neu- rology research laboratory at Beaumont Hospital, will be a partic- ipant in the use of a $62,500 one- year grant to compare tissue from the brains of normal elderly people to those of people with early-stage and late-stage Parkinson's disease. The grant was presented to the hos- pital from the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Dr. Anthony F. Shields of Bloomfield Hills has been appoint- ed associate direc- tor for clinical research at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. Dr. Langberg complet- Langberg ed 500 hours of continuing dental education and passed a comprehen- sive eight-hour written exam. Dr. Jane Krasnick of Huntington Woods has opened Warren Allergy and Asthma PC, a practice treating children and adults. Dr. Krasnick is the author of a dozen Krasnick medical journal articles on allergy and asthma topics and has fellow status in two major national allergy organizations.
