in Farmington Hills, Evan worked in
the Hodari Children's Library at
Temple Israel and on the Adopt-a-
Road program as part of his mitzvah
projects. He will donate his food-bas-
ket centerpieces to Yad Ezra in
Berkley.

Carly Hope Sprague will be called to
the Torah on the occasion of her bat
mitzvah Saturday, Aug. 23, at Temple
Israel. Her parents
are Robin and
Jeffrey Sprague; her
sister is Ilana.
Joining in the sim-
chah will be grand-
parents Kathy and
Ray Lynch and
Jerry Sprague. She
is also the grand-
child of the late Roberta Sprague.
Carly attends Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering to make dolls for children
through Hadassah.

Baxter Russell Trapp, son of Bill and
Caroline (Broida) Trapp, will celebrate
his bar mitzvah at the Birmingham
Temple on Friday,
Aug. 22.
Participating in the
service will be his
proud grandparents
Ed and Edie Broida
and Dick and
Rosemary Trapp
and his brother
Davis.
Baxter is a stu-
dent at Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills. He has chosen U.S.
Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan as his bar
mitzvah hero. For his mitzvah project,
Baxter has coordinated as effort to
collect gently used hockey equipment
for the city of Detroit's only children's
hockey program at the Clark Park
Recreation Center.

Brandon Joel Vieder will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Aug. 23,
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. He is
the son of Carol
and Dr. Sanford
Vieder and brother
of Alex and
Nikolas. Proud
grandparents are
Lorraine and
Arnold Fisher,
Gitta and Cantor Larry Vieder.
Brandon is a double honor student

at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. Among
his mitzvah projects, Brandon partici-
pated in JARC and the Israel Family
to Family program. He also partici-
pated in the Trees for Israel bar mitz-
vah program through the Jewish
National Fund.

Rachel Beth Weberman will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Aug. 23,
at Congregation
B'nai Moshe. She is
the daughter of
Cheryl and Aron
Weberman and sis-
ter of Lindsey,
Brian and Eric.
Sharing in the sim-
chah will be grand-
mothers Freda
Weberman and Linda Wenson as well
as great-grandmother Mary
Schoenfeld. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Benjamin
Wenson and the late Leon Weberman.
Rachel is an honor student at
Warner Middle. School in Farmington
Hills.

Alexa Rachel Wollach will celebrate
her bat mitzvah Saturday, Aug. 23,
at Temple B'nai Torah in Bellvue,
Wash. She is the
daughter of
Stefanie and Steve
Wollach, formerly
of Huntington
Woods, and sister
of Seth. Proud
grandparents are
Joan and Robert
Pasman of
Southfield and
Norma Wollach of Farmington
Hills. Thrilled great-grandmother is
Cecile Lefton of Southfield.
Alexa attends Issaquah Middle
School. For her mitzvah projects,
she donated her hair to Locks of
Love. She also decorated journals as
part of the contents of the Red
Cross Sunshine Bag Program for
children and teens entering foster
homes or shelters. In addition, a
portion of the money she receives as
bat mitzvah gifts will be given to the
Red Cross Measles Initiative to vac-
cinate children in Africa and third
world countries.
