Volunteers are needed to provide one-to-one interaction with partici- pants; assist with community out- ings; share their special talents such as music, gardening, cooking, baking and arts and crafts; and perform data entry to track services and partici- pant satisfaction. A free, four-part training series for interested individuals is slated for 10-11:30 a.m., Sept. 4, 11, 18 and 25, at the Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield. The training will teach people how to communicate effectively and assist individuals with memory loss. Those who complete the series will earn a volunteer cer- tificate in dementia care.
